Slowdive è un gruppo musicale britannico formatosi a Reading nel 1989. Considerati uno dei gruppi fondatori del genere shoegaze, hanno raggiunto la popolarità negli anni '90 con il loro sound caratterizzato da atmosfere ipnotiche, chitarre distorte e voci eteree. Il loro album di debutto, *Just for a Day* (1991), è considerato un classico del genere. Seguirono altri due album di successo, *Souvlaki* (1993) e *Pygmalion* (1995), prima della loro scioglimento nel 1995.
