Gli Stratovarius sono un gruppo musicale power metal finlandese, fondato a Helsinki nel 1984 dal batterista e cantante Tuomo Lassila, dal chitarrista Staffan Stråhlman e dal bassista John Vihervä. Sono diventati famosi però con la formazione che vedeva Timo Tolkki alla chitarra, Timo Kotipelto alla voce, Jens Johansson alle tastiere, Jari Kainulainen al basso e Jörg Michael alla batteria.
