James Hillier Blunt, bekannt einfach als James Blunt (Tidworth, 22. Februar 1974), ist ein international erfolgreicher britischer Singer-Songwriter. Geboren in eine Militärfamilie, verbrachte er einen Teil seiner Kindheit in Deutschland und Kanada, bevor er zurück in das Vereinigte Königreich ging, um an der Universität zu studieren. Nach seinem Abschluss in Geschichte trat Blunt in die britische Armee als Offizier des Royal Irish Regiment ein und diente in Kosovo und Zypern. Im Jahr 2003 beschloss er nach einer Freistellung sich ganz der Musik zu widmen.
