I Dead Kennedys sono una band punk americana formatasi a San Francisco negli anni '70. Conosciuti per il loro stile musicale provocatorio e le liriche politichemente impegnate, hanno raggiunto un'enorme popolarità nell'underground musicale degli anni '80. Il loro album di debutto, *Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables* (1980), conteneva singoli iconici come «California Über Alles» e «Holiday in Cambodia», che li resero famosi a livello internazionale.
