The Stranglers sind eine britische Rockband, die 1974 in Guildford gegründet wurde. Ihr Sound, der ursprünglich als Punkrock definiert wurde, hat Einflüsse aus Post-Punk, New Wave und Progressive Rock aufgenommen und so eine einzigartige und erkennbare Klangidentität geschaffen.
