Rosie Thomas è una cantautrice americana originaria del Michigan. Ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale suonando con il gruppo Velour 100, incontrando Trey Many tramite amici in comune. Con Velour 100 ha registrato un EP e fatto alcuni brevi tour, durante i quali ha conosciuto Damien Jurado e Pedro the Lion. Successivamente si è trasferita a Seattle per frequentare brevemente il Cornish College, ma ha poi deciso di dedicarsi a una carriera solista.
