Galaxie 500 è stata una band americana di indie rock e slowcore attiva tra gli anni '80 e '90. Formatasi a New York, il gruppo era composto da Dean Wareham (voce, chitarra), Naomi Yang (basso) e Damon Krukowski (batteria). Conosciuti per il loro sound introspettivo, malinconico e atmosferico, hanno influenzato profondamente la scena indie rock successiva.
