Sly and The Family Stone sono stati un gruppo musicale statunitense di San Francisco, attivi dal 1966 al 1983. Considerati pionieri del funk, hanno profondamente influenzato lo sviluppo della musica soul, funk e psichedelica. Il gruppo era guidato da Sly Stone, cantante, autore, produttore e polistrumentista di talento, che ha riunito principalmente parenti ed amici nella formazione.
