Planet Funk è un gruppo musicale italiano formatosi a Roma nel 1999. Il nucleo originale era composto da Marco Baroni (tastiere), Alex Neri (tastiere), Sergio Della Monica (basso) e Domenico Canu (chitarra). Il loro sound, definito principalmente come electro-funk, ha saputo coniugare elementi di musica elettronica, funk, jazz e hip hop. 2003 è l'anno del successo internazionale con l'album "The Ident" che include il singolo "Chase the Sun", un brano diventato un inno estivo in tutto il mondo. Planet Funk si è distinto per la sua energia live e per l'utilizzo di strumenti elettronici innovativi, influenzando la scena musicale italiana degli anni 2000. Dopo diversi album e tour internazionali, il gruppo ha intrapreso strade separate nel 2010. Tra i brani più rappresentativi: "Chase the Sun", "Inside Out", "The Ident" e "Living in a Dream".
