The Twang ist eine britische Indie-Rock-Band aus Birmingham, England, die 2004 gegründet wurde. Die Band besteht aus Phil Etheridge (Gesang, Gitarre), Jonny Brown (Gitarre), Ross 'Razz' McKenzie (Bass) und Mark 'Mucky' Jones (Schlagzeug). Bekanntheit erlangte die Gruppe mit ihrem selbstbetitelten Debütalbum "The Twang" im Jahr 2007. Das Album, produziert von Steve Osborne, verkaufte sich in Großbritannien über 100.000 Mal und brachte Hits wie "Two Wrongs Make a Right", "Sick of It" und "I Don't Wanna Be Your Friend" hervor. Ihre Musik zeichnet sich durch energiegeladene Gitar riffs, eingängige Melodien und direkte Texte aus, die Themen wie Liebe, Freundschaft und den Alltag behandeln.
