Metric è un gruppo musicale canadese di genere indie rock e new wave, formatosi a Toronto nel 1998. La band, composta da Emily Haines (voce, tastiere), James Shaw (chitarra, cori), Joshua Winstead (basso) e Joules (batteria), ha raggiunto una notevole popolarità internazionale grazie al suo sound energico e melodico, caratterizzato da riff di chitarra incisivi, linee melodiche accattivanti e testi introspettivi.
