Alan Jay Lerner (31 agosto 1918 – 14 giugno 1986) è stato un paroliere e librettista statunitense. Collaborando con Frederick Loewe, ha creato alcuni dei lavori teatrali musicali più popolari e duraturi al mondo, sia per il palcoscenico che per il cinema. Ha vinto tre Tony Award e tre Academy Award, tra gli altri riconoscimenti. Lerner è nato a New York City da una famiglia ebrea.
