People say it's peace time
We're looking towards the sun
We're destroying tanks and bombs
No more threatening Red scum
The Arabs? They've been silenced and the oils running free
So don't worry about your future they've made it safe for you and me
But can you fill up your car and turn up your heat
Knowing the tank is filled with the blood of a terror democracy?
How about the puppets we put in power in South America?
To make sure we'd have no problems
Threatening neighbors are such a bother
International corporations can not come and reap the harvest
If the people are in power they'll realize just why they're starving
There's a war going on in your town
It's right outside your door
It's a war against the black man
And a war against the poor
Welfare? HA! What a fucking laugh
It's government candy it's poverty's crack
For some there's no such thing as peace
Economic wars have gone on for centuries
The police are an army
An army built for you
And the CIA and FBI
Don't have to follow rules
Filter drugs down from the heavens and guns ablaze tonight

Well there's a weapon they have that's more cruel than the bomb
Becuase you die off very slowly thinking you create the harm
It's a weapon called welfare and it's something many want

What better way to keep a list of everyone that's poor
Than to set up a program that keeps you coming back for more
