Biografia

Westlife ist eine irische Boyband, die 1998 in Sligo gegründet wurde. Die Gruppe, bestehend aus Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan und Nicky Byrne, erreichte in ganz Europa und weltweit mit ihrem melodischen Pop einen enormen Erfolg. Ihr Sound zeichnet sich durch orchestrale Arrangements und romantische Texte aus. Ihr selbstbetiteltes Debütalbum (1999) war ein sofortiger Hit, gefolgt von weiteren Erfolgen wie *Coast to Coast* (2000), *World of Our Own* (2001) und *Unbreakable - The Greatest Hits Vol. 1* (2002). Im Jahr 2004 verließ Brian McFadden die Band, doch die verbliebenen vier Mitglieder veröffentlichten weiterhin erfolgreiche Alben wie *Allow Us to Be Frank* (2004), *The Love Album* (2006) und *Face to Face* (2005). Nach einer Studiopause im Jahr 2008 kehrten Westlife zurück und brachten neue Studioalben wie *Where We Are* (2009), *Gravity* (2010) und *Spectrum* (2019) heraus. Zu ihren bekanntesten Songs gehören *Swear It Again*, *Flying Without Wings*, *You Raise Me Up* und *World of Our Own*.
