Kris Delmhorst è una cantautrice americana profondamente radicata nella scena folk di Boston. Nel 1998 ha contribuito alla produzione dell'album benefico *Respond*, dedicato a gruppi che si occupano di violenza domestica, includendo la sua canzone *Weatherman*. Nel 1999 ha pubblicato un album dal vivo con The Vinal Avenue String Band, formata da lei stessa, Sean Staples e Ry Cavanaugh. Ha anche registrato cinque album in studio e due EP.
