Steel Train war eine amerikanische Indie-Rock-Band, die 1999 in New York gegründet wurde und vom talentierten Jack Antonoff geleitet wurde. Antonoff, bekannt für seine spätere Karriere als Produzent und Solokünstler, gründete die Band mit anderen Mitgliedern aus verschiedenen musikalischen Hintergründen. Steel Train erlangte in den 2000er Jahren Bekanntheit durch ihren Sound, der sich durch eingängige Melodien, nachdenkliche Texte und eine ansteckende Live-Energie auszeichnete. Ihr Debütalbum "The Logic of the Universe", das 2003 veröffentlicht wurde, markierte den Beginn ihres Aufstiegs.
