Gram Parsons (Ingram Cecil Connor III; 5 gennaio 1946 – 19 settembre 1973) è stato un cantautore, chitarrista e pianista statunitense considerato uno dei pionieri del country rock. Nato a Waycross, Georgia, Parsons ha trascorso la sua infanzia in diverse città degli Stati Uniti prima di trasferirsi a Los Angeles negli anni '60. Iniziò la sua carriera musicale come membro della band The International Submarine Band, con cui pubblicò l'album "Safe at Home" nel 1968. Nel 1970, Parsons si unì al gruppo country rock The Flying Burrito Brothers, contribuendo a definire il sound del genere con album come "The Gilded Palace of Sin". Nel 1973, Parsons intraprese una carriera solista e pubblicò l'album "Grievous Angel", considerato uno dei suoi capolavori. La sua musica era caratterizzata da un mix di country, folk, rock e psichedelia, influenzato da artisti come Bob Dylan, Hank Williams e The Byrds. Parsons morì a soli 26 anni in circostanze misteriose, lasciando un'eredità musicale significativa che ha ispirato generazioni di musicisti.
