Little Brother ist eine amerikanische Hip-Hop-Gruppe aus Durham, North Carolina. Das Duo besteht aus den Rappern Phonte und Rapper Big Pooh, wobei der Produzent 9th Wonder seit der Gründung des Gruppenteils war, aber vor der Aufnahme des Albums *Getback* ausschied. Ihr Debütalbum *The Listening* (2003) wurde sehr gut aufgenommen. Es folgte das Mixtape *The Chitlin Circuit 1.5* im Jahr 2005 und das zweite Album der Gruppe, *The Minstrel Show*, ebenfalls 2005 veröffentlicht, welches positive Kritiken von Zeitschriften wie XXL (die ihnen ein "XL" gaben) und The Source (4,5 Mics) erhielt. Die Gruppe touren regelmäßig mit ihrem offiziellen DJ, Flash. In einem Interview mit MVRemix.com erklärte Phonte die Herkunft des Bandnamens: «Tribe, De La, P.E....waren wie unsere großen Brüder im Spiel, also sind wir jetzt die kleinen Brüder dieser Bewegung...die Tradition guter Musik fortsetzen».
