Rob Thomas (nato Robert Kelly Thomas) è un cantautore e musicista statunitense, noto soprattutto come voce principale del gruppo rock Matchbox Twenty. Nato a Syracuse, New York, nel 1972, Thomas ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale all'età di 16 anni, formando i Matchbox Twenty con alcuni amici d'infanzia. Il loro album di debutto, "Yourself or Someone Like You", pubblicato nel 1996, divenne un successo mondiale, vendendo oltre 10 milioni di copie negli Stati Uniti e consacrando Thomas come una delle voci più riconoscibili della musica pop-rock degli anni '90.
