Platinum Blonde è stato un gruppo canadese di New Wave attivo negli anni '80. Il gruppo originale era composto da Mark Holmes (Manchester, Inghilterra) al basso e voce, Sergio Galli alla chitarra e Chris Steffler alla batteria. In seguito si è unito il musicista scozzese Kenny MacLean. Il nome del gruppo è stato ispirato dal film del 1931 *Platinum Blonde* con Jean Harlow. Conosciuti per il loro stile glam rock, con abiti in colori pastello e video musicali di grande impatto visivo, Platinum Blonde è stato introdotto nella Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Hall of Fame il 12 marzo 2010. Tra i brani più rappresentativi: *Not for Me*, *Situation*, *Beautiful*.
