Basement Jaxx è un duo britannico di musica elettronica formato da Simon Ratcliffe e Felix Buxton negli anni '90. Inizialmente noti per aver organizzato una popolare serata club a Londra, hanno poi iniziato a produrre la loro musica, pubblicando il loro album di debutto *Remedy* nel 1999. L'album è stato un successo immediato, con i singoli «Red Alert» e «Rendez-Vu» che raggiungono le prime cinque posizioni delle classifiche britanniche.
