Cake Like è stata una band indie rock all-female attiva tra gli anni '90. Formata da Kerri Kenney-Silver (basso e voce, all'epoca con il nome di famiglia Kerri Kenney), Jody Seifert (batteria) e Nina Hellman (voce e chitarra), la band ha debuttato nel 1993 dopo che Kenney-Silver e Hellman si sono incontrate al New York University's Experimental Theater Wing. Il loro stile musicale, unico e originale, è caratterizzato da testi poetici accompagnati da un rock chitarristico spesso disordinato. Cake Like ha attirato l'attenzione di John Zorn, che li ha scritti per il suo label Avant Records, pubblicando il loro primo LP. Successivamente sono stati prodotti da Ric Ocasek (ex The Cars) e hanno firmato con Vapor Records di Neil Young, pubblicando due altri album. La band si è sciolta nel 1999 quando Kenney-Silver si è trasferita a Los Angeles.
