Arc Angels sono un gruppo di blues rock formato ad Austin, in Texas, all'inizio degli anni '90. La band era composta dal chitarrista e cantante Doyle Bramhall II e da Charlie Sexton, insieme a Chris Layton e Tommy Shannon, due ex membri della band di Stevie Ray Vaughan, Double Trouble. Secondo Bob Meredith di Allmusic, l'«ARC» nel nome del gruppo deriva dall'Austin Rehearsal Complex dove la band iniziò a suonare prima di pubblicare il loro album d'esordio del 1992. L'album, Arc Angels, ottenne un plauso critico e riuscì ad arrivare al numero 127 delle classifiche Billboard. Il 9 giugno 1992, i Arc Angels fecero il loro debutto in televisione nazionale nel programma di NBC «Late Night with David Letterman», dove eseguirono «Living In A Dream». Il 6 gennaio 1993, tornarono a esibirsi nello show di Letterman, questa volta suonando «Too Many Ways to Fall».
