Hoobastank ist eine amerikanische Rockband, die 1994 in Kalifornien gegründet wurde. Die Band besteht aus Douglas Robb (Gesang, Gitarre), Dan Estrin (Gitarre), Chris Hesse (Schlagzeug) und Markku Lappalainen (Bass). Nach der Selbstveröffentlichung des Albums "They Sure Don't Make Basketball Shorts Like They Used To" im Jahr 1998 unterschrieb Hoobastank 2000 bei Island Records.
