Pete Shelley (geboren als Peter McNeish am 17. Juli 1955 in Leigh, Lancashire, England – gestorben am 6. Dezember 2018) war ein britischer Sänger-Songwriter und Gitarrist, vor allem bekannt als Mitbegründer und Frontmann der Punkrock-Band Buzzcocks. Shelley prägte mit unvergesslichen Songs wie «Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)» und «What Do I Get?» das Ästhetik und die Musik der englischen Punkbewegung der 1970er Jahre. Nach der Auflösung der Buzzcocks startete Shelley eine erfolgreiche Solokarriere und veröffentlichte Alben wie «Homosapien» (1989) und «The State of Mind» (2006).
