Tony Rebel, geboren als Patrick George Anthony Barrett am 15. Januar 1962 in Manchester Parish, Jamaika, ist ein jamaikanischer Reggae-Deejay. Zu Beginn seiner Karriere trat er als Sänger auf, unter den Namen Papa Tony oder Tony Ranking, bei lokalen Talentshows und auf Soundsystemen wie dem von Sugar Minott, 'Youth Promotion'. Seine erste Single, "Casino", wurde 1988 auf dem Label MGB veröffentlicht. Sein Durchbruch gelang ihm jedoch durch die Zusammenarbeit mit Donovan Germains Team Penthouse Anfang der 1990er Jahre. 1990 feierte er einen großen Erfolg mit "Fresh Vegetable" und etablierte sich als Singjay. Er ist bekannt als einer der wenigen dreadlocked 'cultural' Deejays der Ragga-Ära. 1992 unterschrieb er bei Columbia Records, die 1993 das Album *Vibes of the Times* veröffentlichten. 1994 gründete er sein eigenes Plattenlabel, 'Flames'.
