The Notorious Cherry Bombs sono stati un supergruppo country americano fondati dal cantautore Rodney Crowell nel 1980. Originariamente chiamati The Cherry Bombs, il gruppo era composto da ex membri della Hot Band di Emmylou Harris, la band di supporto di Harris con cui Crowell aveva suonato in precedenza. Crowell ha scelto i musicisti per supportare il suo album del 1980 *But What Will the Neighbors Think*, che segna l'esordio del gruppo.
