Beth Gibbons è una cantautrice e musicista inglese nata il 4 gennaio 1965 ad Exeter, nel Devon. È conosciuta soprattutto come vocalist del gruppo musicale britannico Portishead, attivo dal 1991. La sua voce profonda e evocativa, spesso accompagnata da atmosfere dark e trip hop, ha contribuito a definire l'identità sonora della band. Gibbons è stata anche attiva in progetti solisti e collaborazioni con altri artisti, come il compositore italiano Max Richter. Tra i brani più rappresentativi di Portishead figurano "Glory Box", "Roads", e "Sour Times". L'album di debutto del gruppo, "Dummy" (1994), è considerato un classico del genere trip hop e ha contribuito a lanciare la band al successo internazionale.
