Eddy Grant, geboren als Edmond Montague Grant, ist ein guyanischer Sänger, Musiker und Musikproduzent, der britische Staatsbürgerschaft besitzt. Geboren 1948 in Georgetown, Guyana, zog er im Alter von zehn Jahren nach England. Seine musikalische Karriere begann in den 1960er-Jahren als Mitglied der Band The Equals, mit der er internationale Erfolge mit Songs wie "Baby Come Back" und "Black Skin Blue Eyed Boys" feierte. Nach der Auflösung der Gruppe startete Grant 1976 eine erfolgreiche Solokarriere.
