Les Rita Mitsouko sind ein französisches Pop-Rock-Duo, das von 1980 bis 2008 aktiv war und aus dem Gitarristen Fred Chichin und der Sängerin Catherine Ringer bestand. Das Duo trat erstmals 1980 im Gibus Club in Paris auf. Ihr Sound, geprägt von einem Mix aus energischem Rock, elektronischen Einflüssen und oft ironischen und provokanten französischen Texten, eroberte schnell das französische Publikum. Zu den bekanntesten Songs des Duos gehören "Marcia Baila", "C'est comme ça", "Les Mains en l'air" und "Andy". Fred Chichin war ein grundlegendes Element bei der Schaffung des Soundbilds der Rita Mitsouko, mit seiner kraftvollen E-Gitarre und eingängigen Melodien.
