The Turtles sono un gruppo musicale statunitense di genere sunshine pop e folk rock formatosi a Los Angeles nel 1965. Composti da Howard Kaylan (voce), Mark Volman (voce, chitarra), Jim Tucker (chitarra), e Flo and Eddie (bassista e batterista). Sono noti soprattutto per il successo mondiale del brano "Happy Together", pubblicato nel 1967 e rimasto in vetta alla Billboard Hot 100 per tre settimane. Altri brani di successo includono "She'd Rather Be With Me" e "You Showed Me", entrambi entrati nella top ten della classifica americana. The Turtles hanno collaborato con diversi produttori importanti, tra cui Jack Nitzsche e Gary Usher. Il loro album "The Turtles Present the Battle of the Bands" (1967) è considerato un classico del genere sunshine pop.
