Biografia

Nizlopi war ein britisches Musikduo bestehend aus Luke Concannon (Gesang, Gitarre und Bodhrán) und John Parker (Kontrabass, Human Beatbox und Backing Vocals). Basiert in Leamington Spa, England, trafen sich die beiden während ihres Studiums am Trinity Catholic Technology College. Vor dem Besuch der weiterführenden Schule besuchten sie beide zusammen die St. Joseph's Primary School. Der Name der Band leitet sich von einem ungarischen Mädchen ab, auf das Luke in der Schule einen Schwarm hatte. Nizlopi erreichte 2005 mit dem Single "JCB Song" den Durchbruch, einem Folk-Rock-Track, der dank seines eingängigen Rhythmus und seiner Ironie viral wurde. Das Duo veröffentlichte zwei Studioalben: "The Nizlopi Album" (2006) und "Nizlopi" (2008). Nach mehreren Tourneen und Kollaborationen löste sich die Band 2010 auf. Zu den bekanntesten Songs von Nizlopi gehören auch "Happy Song", "The Ballad of the Broken Heart" und "I'm Not a Robot".
