Jaco Pastorius (John Francis Anthony Pastorius III), nato a Norristown, Pennsylvania, il 1° dicembre 1951, è stato un bassista, compositore e produttore discografico statunitense considerato uno dei più grandi musicisti jazz di tutti i tempi. Pastorius ha rivoluzionato l'approccio al basso elettrico nel jazz fusion, introducendo tecniche innovative come il slapping e il popping, influenzando generazioni di bassisti. ??
