Toyah ist der Name der Band, die von Toyah Willcox zwischen 1977 und 1983 angeführt wurde. Der einzige andere konstante Bandmitglied während dieser Zeit war Joel Bogen, Willcox' Haupt-Texter und Gitarrist. Ihr Sound zeichnete sich durch einen Mix aus New Wave, Punk Rock und Synthpop aus, mit theatralischen Einflüssen und einem starken visuellen Element. Toyah erreichte in den 1980er Jahren kommerziellen Erfolg mit Singles wie "It's a Mystery" und "I Want to Be Free", die in den britischen Charts erfolgreich waren.
