The Human League sind eine britische Synth-Pop-Band, die 1977 in Sheffield, England, gegründet wurde. Als Pioniere des Genres erreichten sie Anfang der 1980er Jahre den kommerziellen Höhepunkt mit Alben wie "Dare" (1981), das weltweit über 15 Millionen Exemplare verkaufte und Hits wie "Don't You Want Me", "Love Action (I Believe In Love)" und "Human" enthielt.
