The Rentals sind eine amerikanische Musikgruppe, die 1995 in Los Angeles, Kalifornien, gegründet wurde. Das Projekt wird von Matt Sharp geleitet, der für seine Rolle als Bassist bei Weezer in den 90er Jahren bekannt ist.
