Eddie Fisher è un cantante statunitense, noto per essere stato uno dei primi interpreti di musica pop nel dopoguerra. Nato nel 1928 in una famiglia ebrea di New York, Fisher iniziò la sua carriera musicale negli anni '40, cantando canzoni jazz e swing nei locali notturni della città. Nel 1950 ottenne il suo primo successo nazionale con il brano "Oh! My Papa". Nel corso degli anni '50 e '60, Fisher divenne una delle stelle più popolari del mondo, vendendo milioni di dischi e partecipando a numerosi programmi televisivi. Fu anche un attore cinematografico di discreto successo. Tra i suoi brani più famosi figurano "I'm Yours", "When I Fall in Love" e "The Ballad of Davy Crockett". La sua carriera fu segnata da alti e bassi, tra cui un divorzio molto pubblicizzato dalla moglie Debbie Reynolds. Fisher continuò a registrare musica fino alla fine degli anni '80, mantenendo una base di fan fedele. Morì nel 2010 all'età di 82 anni.
