Lauri Johannes Ylönen (nato il 10 marzo 1976) è un cantautore e musicista finlandese, noto soprattutto come frontman del gruppo rock alternativo The Rasmus. Ylönen ha fondato la band nel 1994 insieme a Esa Eerola, Pauli Rantasalmi e Jarno Lahti. Il loro debutto discografico, "The Rasmus", risale al 1996. La fama internazionale arriva nel 2003 con l'album "Dead Letters", che contiene il singolo di successo "In The Shadows". Ylönen è noto per la sua voce potente e melodica, le sue liriche introspettive e il suo stile musicale caratterizzato da un mix di rock alternativo, gothic rock e pop.
