Placebo ist eine britische Rockband, die 1994 in London gegründet wurde. Bekannt für ihren dunklen und atmosphärischen Sound, der von Post-Punk, Indie-Rock und elektronischer Musik beeinflusst wird, ist der Frontmann Brian Molko mit seinem androgyne Look und seinen theatralischen Auftritten ein charakteristisches Merkmal der Band.
