Bob Welch (Robert Lawrence Welch) war ein amerikanischer Singer-Songwriter und Gitarrist, geboren 1945 in Los Angeles. Er begann seine musikalische Karriere in den 1960er Jahren als Mitglied von Fleetwood Mac und trug zum Album "Then Play On" von 1969 bei. Nach seinem Ausstieg aus der Band im Jahr 1971 startete Bob Welch eine erfolgreiche Solokarriere. Sein 1977 erschienenes Album "French Kiss" enthielt den Hit-Song "Sentimental Lady", der die US-Charts anführte und ihn zum international bekannten Künstler machte. Weitere Erfolge von Welch sind "Ebony Eyes" und "You're the One". Während seiner Karriere veröffentlichte er mehrere Alben und bewies sein Talent für die Komposition melodischer und einprägsamer Songs. Bob Welch starb 2012 an einem Herzinfarkt.
