Dean Cyril Reed (1938-1986) è stato un cantautore, attore e attivista politico americano di origini tedesche. Reed ha raggiunto la fama negli anni '70 in Europa dell'Est, dove le sue canzoni politiche e socialmente impegnate hanno riscontrato grande successo. Nato a Denver, Colorado, Reed si trasferì in Germania Est nel 1965, diventando un cittadino tedesco orientale nel 1972.
