Matchbook Romance è un gruppo emo originario di Poughkeepsie, New York, formatosi nel 1997. La band ha raggiunto la popolarità negli anni 2000 con il loro sound caratterizzato da melodie orecchiabili e testi introspettivi che hanno risuonato con la generazione emo. Tra i brani più noti figurano «Monsters», «The End of the World», e «She's So Mean». Hanno pubblicato cinque EP e due album studio, *Yourself Included* (2001) e *North* (2003), prima di sciogliersi nel 2007.
