Gli Spermbirds sono una storica band hardcore punk tedesca proveniente da Kaiserslautern. Fondati nel 1982 da alcuni membri della precedente punk band Die Walterelf, hanno rapidamente guadagnato fama per il loro sound veloce e aggressivo. Dopo lo scioglimento avvenuto nel 1988, la band si è riunita nel 1990, dando inizio a una nuova fase caratterizzata da un'intensa attività discografica.
