Gli Screaming Trees sono stati una rock band americana formatasi ad Ellensburg, Washington nel 1985 da Mark Lanegan (voce), Gary Lee Conner (chitarra), Van Conner (basso) e Mark Pickerel (batteria). Pickerel fu poi sostituito da Barrett Martin durante il periodo di maggior successo della band. Sebbene spesso associati al movimento grunge, lo stile musicale degli Screaming Trees incorporava anche elementi hard rock e psichedelici. Dal loro debutto hanno pubblicato sette album in studio, cinque EP e tre raccolte.
