Thunder è una rock band inglese formatasi nel 1989 dalle ceneri del gruppo Terraplane. Il nucleo originario era costituito dal cantante Danny Bowes e dal chitarrista/autore principale Luke Morley, che decisero di formare un nuovo progetto musicale. A completare la formazione si unirono il batterista Gary James (conosciuto come 'Harry' James), proveniente da Terraplane, il bassista Mark 'Snake' Luckhurst e il chitarrista/tastierista Ben Matthews. Sebbene il loro pubblico principale risieda nel Regno Unito, Thunder gode di un notevole successo anche in Giappone. Il sound del gruppo è caratterizzato da riff hard rock energici, melodie orecchiabili e una forte componente blues.
