Glenn Miller (1904-1944) è stato un celebre musicista e arrangiatore statunitense, considerato uno dei pionieri del jazz swing. Nato in una famiglia di musicisti nel Wisconsin, Miller iniziò a suonare il trombone fin da giovane. Dopo aver suonato in diverse orchestre locali, fondò la sua orchestra nel 1937, che divenne rapidamente un fenomeno nazionale grazie al suo stile musicale innovativo e alle sue performance energiche. Miller fu uno dei primi ad incorporare elementi di musica classica e pop nel jazz swing, creando un sound distintivo e orecchiabile.
