The Beautiful South ist eine britische Pop-Band, die von 1989 bis 2007 aktiv war. Gegründet wurden sie von Paul Heaton und Dave Hemingway, ehemaligen Mitgliedern der Housemartins. Der Gruppe gelang in den 1990er Jahren großer Erfolg mit einem Sound, der sich durch eingängige Melodien, ironische und sarkastische Texte sowie eine melancholische Note auszeichnete.
