Keith Whitley (1954-1989) è stato un cantante country statunitense considerato uno dei più grandi artisti del genere negli anni '80. Nato a Ashland, Kentucky, Whitley ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale suonando in locali di musica country nel suo stato natale. Nel 1984 ha firmato con l'etichetta RCA Records e ha subito ottenuto successo con il singolo "I'm No Stranger to the Rain".
