The Postal Service è stato un duo musicale statunitense attivo tra il 2003 e il 2013, noto per la sua fusione di indie pop, electropop e musica elettronica. Il gruppo era composto da Ben Gibbard, cantante e chitarrista del gruppo Death Cab for Cutie, e James Tamborello, meglio conosciuto come Dntel, produttore musicale e membro dei gruppi Headset e Figurine. Il loro album di debutto, *Give Up*, pubblicato nel 2003, è diventato un successo critico e commerciale, grazie a brani iconici come «Such Great Heights» e «The District Sleeps Alone Tonight».
