Slade è un gruppo hard rock britannico formatosi a Wolverhampton, nel Black Country, nel 1966. Originariamente conosciuti come The Nazz, hanno cambiato nome in Slade nel 1969. Esponenti del glam rock negli anni settanta, sono stati una delle band più popolari del Regno Unito durante quel decennio, con numerosi singoli che hanno raggiunto la vetta della Official Singles Chart. Il loro stile musicale era caratterizzato da riff di chitarra potenti, melodie orecchiabili e testi energici.
